An Engineering Journey Across Generations of Distribution
The story of C-SEC's medium-voltage business is rooted in engineering partnerships, manufacturing experience and the changing demands of India's distribution networks.
2008
C&S Electric Limited entered a 50:50 joint venture with Efacec Capital SGPS SA of Portugal to create a medium-voltage switchgear manufacturing company at Greater Noida, combining complementary product and market expertise.
2014
C&S Electric acquired Efacec's shareholding in the joint venture, and the MV switchgear business was merged with C&S Electric.
2020–2021
Following the agreement to divest the C&S Electric business to Siemens, the promoters retained the MV switchgear and packaged substation operations through C-SEC Technologies. The present company's corporate and legal dates must be shown precisely on the approved legal/corporate version of this history.
2025–2026
C-SEC publicly announced the commissioning of its first 33 kV RMU manufactured at Haridwar under licence from Ormazabal, and discussed newer work in automation, F-gas-free technology and vacuum interrupter manufacturing.
